Our History
HISTORY OF THE "MR. POCHE"
At 17 years old, Captain Glenn purchased his first commercial fishing boat and began his career as a commercial fisherman. Soon after, his hard work paid off and he was able to expand to a bigger custom commercial fishing boat, the "Mr. Poche". Everyone thought he was arrogant for naming the boat after himself, but Captain Glenn knew the truth! The boat's name is in honor of the man who inspired him to do what he loved, his grandfather, Mr. Leon Poche, Sr.
ABOUT
Captain Glenn is a dedicated charter guide with lifelong experience on the water. As a child, Glenn spent most of his summers at the family camp fishing and shrimping. The Poche family taught him love and respect for the outdoors and the waterways of south Louisiana. As an adult he worked hard on the water until Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated his hometown of Lafitte, LA. The commercial fishing industry was heavily impacted, and with a heavy heart he decided to switch careers. After earning his captain's license he worked in the oil and gas industry for the next 16 years, but never lost sight of his true passion for fishing. Now, he is excited to share his experience and love of the water with you as a full time charter guide!

We offer fishing trips during the morning and evening based on availability. The length of our fishing trips generally last for 6 hours depending on catch limits, daylight hours and schedules. On morning trips we leave around sunrise and return around noon. For evening trips, we leave in the afternoon, approximately 1:30 pm and return before dark. A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking. We accept credit card payment, checks by mail and cash payments on the day of trip.
